Q: Links not working, what should I do!?

A: There is one documented problem with IP address encoding that sometimes happens. This site's shopping cart uses your unique ISP assigned IP address to provide you with a visitor code. Sometimes the IP address contains a generic code, and it gets translated as an asterisk which prevents proper link encoding. You can identify if this is the problem by looking at the User ID in the URL [see illustration] If you see an asterisk (*) anywhere in the UID, then you can reset your connection to get a refreshed code. the asterisk should be gone, and all the links should work after this is done.

Q: Do you have the convention notebook?

A: We do not provide the convention notebook on this website. The only proper source for the program information is from the society, through the authorized channels.

Q: Why are your prices so low?

A: We have gained a large and loyal customer base over the years, and we sell so many covers, we can afford to pass the discount on to you, our valued customers. Our standard covers have been only $1.00 and we hope to keep it that way for a while.

Q: Is it proper selling to Witness brothers and sisters?

A: Being a conscious matter, we believe in what we are doing, and that it is in harmony with spiritual interests. We conduct business in a way that is honorable before the law, but most importantly, honorable before Jehovah God. There is a tremendous need for this useful product, and since witnesses purchase and use products everyday of their lives, what should prevent us from offering high-quality covers to protect valuable literature? As with any selling, business transactions should never be made where it is inappropriate (ie: inside the Kingdom Hall.)

Q: Is it safe to enter my credit card information on your easy-to-use payment page?

A: With SSL technology, the information you send can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered to the server you specify (and no other).

Q: How can I tell when security is in effect?

Secure documents are identified quickly. You can tell whether a document comes from a secure server by looking at the location (URL) field. If the URL begins with https:// (instead of http://), the document comes from a secure server.

Also, most popular browsers will display an icon such as a key or a padlock at the bottom when you are using a secure server. It is standard practice to gather the data on an unsecured form and then "go secure" when this form is submitted (transmitted across data lines).

Q: Can I safely transmit credit card numbers?

You can enter your credit card number on a secure (https) page and transmit the page over the Internet to a secure Commerce Server without risk of an intermediary obtaining your credit card information. The security features offered by SSL technology protect commercial transactions, as well as all other communications, from misappropriation and fraud that could otherwise occur as information passes through Internet computers. Note: This process is actually a more secure way of conducting business than handing your card to an unknown server at a restaurant for example, thereby leaving paper receipts  floating around.

Q: Are you affiliated with the society?

A: No, we are not officially affiliated with the Watchtower Bible And Tract Society (http://www.watchtower.org/). We are simply fulfilling a need with a useful, convenient, inexpensive product. Brothers and sisters who have purchased from us along the east coast have been pleased with our bookcovers and look forward to seeing us at the conventions each year.
